I got the seal of approval from Andrew about this Valentine's Day treat box for his classmates. I have to make 9 white ones for the girls and 3 Star Trek for the boys in his class. It's fun! I'll fill them with various goodies and post pics as I get them prepared.

I have a spare moment so I wanted to drop in and say Merry Christmas! It's a busy time of year, but try to take a few minutes to enjoy the beauty of the celebration!

Christmas in July!

Well, I haven't been updating my blog as often as I'd hoped I would, but non-the-less, here I am! Merry Christmas in July!! I'll be hosting a CIJ party on July 25 for a few close friends and if I don't get busy with the preparations, I'll be serving TV dinners and ice water to my guests!!

The color scheme for the party is hot pink, red, white, and lime green. Gorgeous! I have gifts for the guests, prizes for the most festive guest, and a lot of good intentions!

It's 5:45 so I guess I should either get to gettin' on my housework, or go back to bed. Hmmm...which should I choose...

Today was a great day for Yard Sales! Lacy and her girls and I hit several and found some great deals, not the least of which is fabulous handmade paper from Thailand! We're gonna start making our own paper for crafting greeting cards and such and I can't wait to hear the roar of the blender, swirling us ever closer to the magical transformation from pulp to art!

Blog Scaredy Cat no more!

I'm determined to update my blog regularly and not be so intimidated! I don't know what was so scary about it! Who knows? Maybe I'll take the leap and actually upload some pics!

That being said, lately I'm working on chore charts for the kids and starting to get Andrew ready to start Kindergarten in the Fall. Oh, and then there's the fighting of the bugs this time of year. Yuck!

Year of the Ox

Happy Chinese New Year! WOOHOO!! We celebrated with a nice stir fry and fried rice and I decorated the dining area with paper lanterns.

It is also Australia Day, so to all my Aussie friends out there, I raise my Tim Tams to you!!

Halloween!!

This month officially starts the Holiday Season for me...woohoo!! I've gotten things ready for Andrew's Spooktacular birthday party and the house is quite haunted, thank you very much! The yard is very welcoming, if you dare open the gate! hehehehe

Christmas is my favorite holiday, but Halloween is a very close second. I love all the fun decorations and silly foods and crazy antics this time of year brings. I don't care for the gorey part of Halloween, yet, since the kids are so small, but maybe someday we'll have dead bodies scattered about.

The Great Pumpkin showed up Oct 1 and has really been nice to the kids. He brought them candy, decorated fresh chocolate chip cookies with candy corn, made mini cheesecakes, and I'm sure he's got more ideas up his sleeve!

This month I hope to take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch here in town. It's a nice tradition that Andrew has enjoyed, but we'll see how Ava does. I'm sure she'll have a great time. It would also be a great time to visit the San Antonio Zoo since the weather is so nice these days.
